Both Gauland and von Storch are prominent figures in the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, known for their controversial statements and right-wing views. Gauland is one of the party's co-founders and has been a key figure in shaping its anti-immigration and nationalist agenda. Von Storch, on the other hand, is known for her staunch Euroscepticism and anti-Islam stance. Ultimately, the choice between the two would depend on one's specific political priorities and values. **

Gauland's statement appears to express a sentiment of nostalgia for a perceived past greatness of Germany, while also acknowledging the atrocities committed during the Nazi era. The reference to the 12 years of Nazi rule as a "bird poop" on Germany's history suggests a desire to downplay the significance of that period in relation to the broader historical narrative of the country. Additionally, the use of the term "greatness" may reflect a longing for a time when Germany was seen as a powerful and influential nation, before the devastation of World War II and the subsequent division of the country. **

Gauland is known for always wearing the same jacket as a deliberate choice to project a consistent and recognizable image. By wearing the same jacket, he creates a sense of familiarity and reliability among his supporters. Additionally, it can be seen as a way to simplify his wardrobe and focus on more important matters. Overall, Gauland's choice to always wear the same jacket is a strategic decision to enhance his public image and brand. **

It is difficult to determine whether Alexander Gauland would be a perfect Federal President as it ultimately depends on individual perspectives and beliefs. Gauland is a controversial figure in German politics, known for his far-right views and statements. His political ideology and divisive rhetoric may not align with the values of all German citizens. Additionally, the role of the Federal President in Germany is largely ceremonial, and it is important for the individual holding the position to represent unity and inclusivity for all citizens. Therefore, some may argue that Gauland's polarizing views may not make him a perfect fit for the role of Federal President. **

It is difficult to predict whether Alexander Gauland will soon abandon the AfD. As a founding member and prominent figure within the party, Gauland has been a key figure in shaping the party's ideology and policies. However, given the recent internal conflicts and power struggles within the AfD, it is possible that Gauland may consider leaving the party if he feels that it no longer aligns with his political beliefs and goals. Ultimately, only time will tell whether Gauland will choose to abandon the AfD. **
